Vidyarambh is a combination of two words - Vidya which means knowledge and Arambh which means beginning. Both these combine to signify the 'beginning of study' as per the Hindu calendar. • Writing the Mantra on rice denotes 'acquisition of knowledge'.
• The same Mantra is also written on sand which denotes 'practice'.
• In the last, this same Mantra is written on the tongue of the child with the golden stick. This will invoke the Goddess Saraswathi grace on the child, so that the best education comes to your child.
